Sleepy Hollow Cinema Announces Inaugural “Home For Horror” Pop-Up Series This Halloween Season

Three Weekends of Spooky Classics Across Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow from October 16 to November 1

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (September 2026)Sleepy Hollow Cinema launches its inaugural SHOCtober slate of programming, bringing terrifying tales that span decades of cinema for three weekends. Designed so that there is something for everyone, this year’s Home for Horror series features curated screenings specifically tailored for kids and families, adult horror fans and enthusiasts, and Spanish speakers—reflecting Sleepy Hollow Cinema’s commitment to honoring our community and its place on the world stage as the authentic Home For Horror!

TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets for all showings can be purchased through Eventbrite by visiting sleepyhollowcinema.org. Purchase of advance tickets is strongly recommended due to limited seating.

Join us at the Lyceum Building (39 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY), this Halloween season and help support our mission to bring a downtown cinema back to Sleepy Hollow and raise funds for a permanent location.

With multiple screenings each Friday through Sunday the weekends of October 16–18, October 23–25, and October 30–November 1, we’ve got you covered with titles like FRIDAY THE 13TH, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, THE EXORCIST (16mm print), BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, HALLOWEEN III (16mm print), TRICK ‘R TREAT, and of course the animated short LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW paired with Tim Burton’s SLEEPY HOLLOW, among many more!
