A NEW HEART FOR BEEKMAN AVENUE

A 100 YEAR OLD CINEMA IS BEING REBORN

The historic Strand Theater building with an illuminated marquee and signage, located between two adjacent buildings on a city street in black and white.

The Strand building on Beekman Avenue - a landmark in the heart of the village - is being redeveloped into a multi-arts hub via the NY Forward Project. We will anchor to the ground floor with a state-of-the-art 120-seat cinema, cafe/wine bar, and welcome center, provided we raise the money necessary.

From pop-up to permanent

Our monthly pop-up events allow us to screen movies to our community while we raise the capital for our permanent venue.
